A Magical Transformation of Hair and Makeup

My boss always comes to work on Fridays dressed down. We have a dress policy Monday through Thursday, but Fridays are extremely casual. She was wearing jeans and a blouse, and her hair was up in a ponytail. Normally, this is just fine for her, but a few weeks ago she had a small crisis on her hands. She thought she would be working her normal shift, which ends at five. Around noon, she found out she had to go to an evening event that started at seven. I told her about on demand beauty in NYC because I could tell she was getting nervous about how she was going to manage getting home, then back to work where the even was being held, in such a short period of time.

She always keeps extra clothes at work because she likes to be prepared for anything. The clothes was not the issue. It was her hair and makeup. She takes casual Fridays quite literally, and wore very little makeup. I had heard of the mobile beauty company so when I told her about it, she asked me to call to see if they had anyone available on such a short notice.

I honestly was not sure if they would, since we are talking about a four hour time period at the most. When I called though and explained the situation, they said they could have someone there before four in the afternoon. That gave my boss enough time to finish work and change her clothes. She thought that it would be hard for them to work with her hair since it was in a ponytail all day, but the hair and makeup stylist worked some pretty magnificent magic. By the time she was done, my boss looked like she could be on the cover of a magazine. Talk about a transformation!
